Account

The account page manages haotianblog sign-in, email verification, comment identity, and profile details. You do not need an account to read public articles, download public resources, or browse learning paths. An account is only needed when you want to comment, request an @haotianblog.com mailbox, maintain an avatar, or update profile information.

This page is a functional entry point, not an indexed technical article. It still includes clear context so readers can understand what account data is requested, how it is used, and where the boundary is between a site account and a mailbox account.

Feature Information needed Purpose Boundary
Registration and sign-in Username, email, password, or Google sign-in authorization. Create a site identity for comments, mailbox requests, and profile management. Public reading does not require signing in.
Email verification An email address that can receive a verification message. Reduce spam comments, impersonation, and anonymous abuse. Verifying an email does not create an @haotianblog.com mailbox.
Profile management Display name, email, avatar, and optional new password. Manage comment attribution, avatar display, and future notifications. The username is fixed after registration; do not upload sensitive ID images as avatars.
Mailbox request link Signed-in account, requested mailbox prefix, and approval state. Connect mailbox requests to site accounts for review and anti-abuse checks. The site password and mailbox password should be different.
Logout and safety Current session and browser cookies. End the current device session and reduce shared-device risk. Logging out here does not log out of Google or Webmail.

When an account is needed

An account is only required for workflows that need identity checks. Use this page if you want to leave moderated comments, request a domain mailbox, update your avatar, or change profile details. Readers who only want machine learning, algorithms, network protocol, AI security, or battery modeling articles can continue without registering.

Comments are moderated by default, and mailbox requests are reviewed before approval. The purpose is not to collect more personal information; it is to reduce spam, protect the domain reputation, and keep technical discussion attached to accountable context.

Account and privacy notes

The email submitted during registration is used for sign-in, verification, notifications, and account recovery. Google sign-in is used only to confirm identity and create or connect a site account. The account page is not designed as a public profile directory. Publicly visible information is usually limited to comments you submit and that pass moderation, your display name, and your avatar.

For account deletion, information you cannot update yourself, sign-in errors, or privacy questions, use the contact page or email haotianblog@gmail.com. Do not send passwords, verification codes, session cookies, private keys, or unredacted sensitive logs by email.
